Conversation data

Effective October 23, 2026. This notice supplements the ReplySprout Privacy Policy.

When a connected Instagram professional account receives a message, ReplySprout stores the sender and recipient Instagram identifiers, message identifier, text, direction and timestamp. For messages sent through ReplySprout, we store the exact text accepted by Instagram and its message identifier. We do not import older inbox history. Attachment files are not downloaded or stored.

We use this data to show the conversation to the connected account owner, allow replies to recent inbound messages, prevent duplicate sends and resolve sending failures. Message text is not sent to a language model or used for advertising.

Conversation records and send-recovery records are retained for up to 30 days, then removed by scheduled cleanup. You can delete stored message text in the conversation screen; identifiers and timestamps remain until expiry to prevent delayed events restoring deleted text. Deleting in ReplySprout does not delete a message from Instagram. Revoking Instagram access stops future authorized API operations but does not immediately delete previously stored records.

Meta and our Cloudflare hosting/database provider process the information needed to operate this feature. Conversation APIs require your authenticated session and scope records to your connected account. To request deletion of all account data, follow the data deletion instructions.
